345000 visitors attended gamescom 2016 & 2017 Dates

gamescom 2016 dubbed “Heroes in New Dimensions” was packed

gamescom 2016 began with its main theme “Heroes in New Dimensions” and started from 15th August and ran to 21st August 2016, according to the organizers there were approximately 345,000 visitors who came to gamescom and these visitors came from far and wide with up to 97 countries. The overall exhibition areas were located in halls 2, 3 and 4 while the grand entertainment area was situated in halls 5 to 10 which when combined masses an impressive 193,000 m².  Another change this year was that gamescom announced Turkey as its 2016 partner.

gamescomcongress2016This year gamescom offered a high quality congress programme and featured many different partners that had a key function to create a platform for networking and contributing to gamescom’s themes and creating conversations within the congress with that the congress had a motto which read “The future is playing”.

gamescom 2016 had themes that were divided into five themes; Knowledge, Business, APITs, Legal and also the theme of Life, the gamescom congress offered experts and various game industry orientated attendees a forum that lets them engage on a professional level on vvarious topics from talking computer development to video games.

gamescom 2017 new dates have been announced and it will run from 22nd August – 26th August 2017 in Cologne.
