VR is Priceless, Uh No 🙁

South African Online retailer Raru has listed the South African pricing for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The VR headsets are available on special order and will be delivered in 10-15 working days.

The virtual reality headsets are being offered at the following prices:

Oculus Rift VR Headset
Price: R14,999 ($ 1,100)

When asked about the relatively high local pricing on Twitter, Raru said it is due to the local supply.

“We are getting these from a local supplier so we have to work with the prices we are being offered the product at I’m afraid,” said Raru.

The Oculus Rift and HTC Vive have been available in the US since 2016, but Raru is among the first local retailers to sell the headsets.
