REVIEW NOTE: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD
In the Agents of Mayhem, you find yourself in an open world Seoul, South Korea where they are the hub of future technology. A much-needed change from the typical American city that finds itself overrun with villains and average humans save the day. Agents of Mayhem combines the story with great character design and amazing explosions and actions that at the end of the day makes you play for the fun of it. Please leave the seriousness at the door 🙂

GAMEPLAY
Character switching, Mayhem Abilities & Unique Gadgets

In Agents of Mayhem swapping between three of the agents can be done at any time and each of them has their own abilities, weapons, skills, and perks that in most cases you will need to switch as some agents abilities are more useful depending on location and mission. Each agent is unique from Rod Stone aka Hollywood, to the more powerful Ishmael Funderburke aka Hardtack as well as the agile Marina Santos aka Fortune. As you blast through missions more characters become available and are all fun to play.  As with any open world there is the option to drive to the next location, now the driving is not of Forza Motorsport or Grand Turismo’s calibre obviously but getting in the car is, as you find a car you manage to fly into the driver’s seat backwards like a ghost 🙂

At times the gameplay  is over the top but that is what makes this game special, as we said earlier Agents of Mayhem is almost like a weekend hero movie that  has over the top action but makes you laugh at times with the oblivious drivers, gas canisters lying on the pavements and we love it.

STORY
Good vs Evil with a little bit of laughter

The Story is basically the good guys, MAYHEM vs the bad guys, LEGION and you are tasked by Persephone the leader of Mayhem with stopping the man who created a dark matter warhead that can dismantle reality itself, Dr Babylon. As you go through these missions you unravel a story that will make you wonder what just happened.

Besides the action and comedic value of Agents of Mayhem, it has a ton of content and missions for you to take on. There are over 50 main missions in the game, and tons of side missions that unlock and add back story to the cast of characters.  Some the stories are serious and not a laughing matter but the tone of the game makes it seem as if it’s no big deal. One of the sub stories is Rama’s tale of a plague-ravaged Mumbai,  and she asks Persephone for assistance and Persephone will help if Rama helps with the LEGION problem.

CONCLUSION
You are in for one hell of a ride

Agents of Mayhem is funny and at times over the top ridiculous with its frenetic action and original story, if you are looking for a game that can get you out of your mundane life or move away from the negativity spreading across the world, why not just cue the action music and blast your way to an explosive fun time…LOL
