Amazing

REVIEW NOTE: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD
Naughty Dog originally intended Uncharted: The Lost Legacy to be an additional DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, but it is way more than that. It has most of the familiar gameplay and action sequences as seen in previous Uncharted games featuring Nathan Drake but that is what makes the Uncharted series amazing and keeps the developers focused on making a more intriguing storyline. Naughty Dog made this a new content-rich experience that brings new and old into the series without spoiling the previous iterations.

GAMEPLAY
Redefined mechanics, action-driven sequences

In terms of gameplay, The Lost Legacy features some of the favorable mechanics that we saw in Uncharted 4. The stealth techniques work well when you need to get past an enemy and take him out from behind.  The combat and ability to roam the vast world make the game truly an Uncharted title that uses parts of previous gameplay mechanics to make the experience enjoyable for veterans and newcomers alike. The beauty about Naughty Dog not adding major gameplay changes gave them the time to focus on developing Chloe and Nadine’s story to push it into it’s own Uncharted universe.

STORY
Facing personal and external enemies

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy picks up a short time after the events of Uncharted 4,  where we are introduced again to well know thief Chloe Fraser who was last seen in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. She is on the trail of an ancient Indian relic call the Tusk of Ganesh. At the start little is known about this artifact that once belonged to a lost kingdom deep within the Western Ghats.  In fact, she will have trouble along the way so Chloe enlists the not so popular South African mercenary Nadine Ross who was last seen in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.  Chloe and Nadine at times are polar opposites with Chloe being more open while Nadine tries to go by the book and this causes tension between them and makes for an epic adventure.

One of the best features of an Uncharted title is the villain and boy this one is impatient,  Chloe and Nadine come face-to-face with the antagonist Asav quite early in the game and he does not waste time in telling his militia to dump them in the river.  Asav is a militia leader who pushes them to the limits on their adventures and makes the bond between them even stronger and build on their trust helps them get out of the various battles for these artifacts.

CONCLUSION
Must have title of 2017

When Nathan ended his expeditions in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, most of us thought well Ok time for us to see what Naughty Dog was going to do with the series, and this is the result, a full Uncharted experience, yes the gameplay is similar however the developers took their time with the overall research of the history of the Indian culture and enhanced the story and narrative that just makes this a standalone title from Naughty Dog that we highly recommend.
