RiME confirmed for May 2017 & Other game details

RiME Has Made A Return

Last year in March 2016 Tequila Works made an official statement to Polygon indicating it had managed to get the rights back from Sony as it was set to be a PlayStation Exclusive only, but no substantial information about the game’s state or progress followed. Now we have great news regarding RiME and have revealed a new trailer and announcement that the game will launch in May 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Rime will tell a fully unspoken narrative about a boy who lacks a voice, and his initial plight and subsequent actions will form our investment as he moves forward. Beyond this, details of the plot seem purposely cryptic. The reveal trailer shows our protagonist chasing a hooded figure across the island, who may have something to do with his predicament.

Tequila Works describes Rime as “a single-player puzzle adventure about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. Players must navigate the island’s secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective and even time. Inspired by the rugged, sunbaked terrain of the Mediterranean coast, Rime paints its breathtaking world with a fusion of vibrant colors and moving musical undertones to set the stage for the deeply personal journey that awaits within.”
