Nintendo Switch Pre-launch event recap?
We were at the Nintendo South Africa pre-launch event over the weekend, hosted by Core Group in Sandton where we tested a couple of games that are available on the console to see how it handles, what they feel like and how smooth the games ran on the console.
The event as a whole was organised efficiently, all the gaming and play areas were spaced out perfectly. There was never any issue about waiting time to play as most of the attendees played two rounds max in most of the games that were available at the event, such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, Splatoon 2, Arms, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the event also offered a few hysterically fun 1-2 Switch games that we had a blast with.
The 1-2 Switch games we took a crack at were Ball Count, Milk & Quick Draw. In Ball Count, players must guess how many balls are in the box using the controller’s HD Rumble feature. In Milk, players must squeeze an actual cow’s udder and try to fill more cups of milk than your opponent before the time runs out. In Quick Draw, players have a stare down and when prompted to fire their weapons the quickest to shoot wins!
