South Africa’s representatives for the FIFA eWorld Cup are here
The VS Gaming Festival 2018 took place at Montecasino on 5 & 6 May with 1,024 players playing across PlayStation 4 and Xbox One who were battling it out to be named the VS Gaming FIFA eWorld Cup qualifier champions as well as play for the whopping R1,5 million prize pool.
Wanda Mkhize, spokesperson for VS Gaming said, “We are proud of what we have been able to achieve this weekend. Over a thousand players competed to take on the worlds best and two of our South Africans will be able to compete on the world stage as a result. We are excited to see what the future holds for this sector,” says Mkhize.
VS Gaming was given the rights to host a FIFA eWorld Cup Qualifier in March after signing an agreement with EA Sports. Even though there were a few hiccups on the final day, with people waiting longer than the allocated time to play it was an exciting way to get these FIFA pros onto the international stage.
