Amazing

When Human Revolution was released back in 2011 it was a saving grace to the Deus Ex franchise as we all can honestly say that Deus Ex: Invisible War was a failure and Human Revolution with Mankind Divided has brought back the franchise from the dead with its own augmentations. With Deus Ex: Mankind Divided the franchise is truly on track as the future is becoming more immersed in high tech and virtual reality. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided provides players new powerful augments that provide the players as Adam Jensen a more robust gameplay.

AUGMENTATIONS
10/10 for the improved augments, better user experience

In Deus Ex Mankind Divided there are various categories of augmentations as it was with Human Revolution, augmentations can be upgraded in various ways from naturally activated augmentations to augmentations that are unlocked with the Praxis Kits. The Praxis Kits are obtained when you reach experience points of 5000 which you can use to enhance Adam’s augmentations. These are the categories of augmentations available; Arm and Leg, Back, Visual, Cranium and Torso Augmentations.

One of our preferred augmentations are the Visual Augmentations which allow Adam to better identify his surroundings, whether through his radar or the ability to see through the walls of enemy territories for better tracking of enemies and to plan a more stealthy approach.

STORY & PLOT
9/10 for covering key Deus Ex characters, relevant plot

In the beginning of the main story players are forced to watch a 12 minute introduction video of what happened to Adam and the story of Human Revolution, after which Adam is in an intro mission in Dubai where the main story unfolds. Adam then travels to Praha (Prague). Prague is one of the key Augmented places in the world of Deus Ex Mankind Divided.Between the side mission s and main missions Adam explores Praha and all it has to offer in terms of story development. Adam travels to various places  from a cramped Augmented populous Golem City to a rescue mission in London, England. The main story if played at  a steady pace without deaths will be completed in about 25 hours including side missions. However players can replay the game and play a mode called “I Never Asked for This” which is the hardest game difficulty in Mankind Divided and with this level players will have to restart the whole game if they die. Only true Deus Ex fans will attempt this difficulty.

There are a couple of mainline departures from the Czech capital; an infiltration into Golem City – a cramped, higgledy-piggledy ghetto for the augmented that is by far the game’s most interesting setting – as well as a recon mission to a facility in the Swiss Alps and a rescue mission in London.

BREACH MODE
7/10 for the improved augments, better user experience

Even though we have given this a 7 does not mean it will not be your cup of tea, the main story mode has all the game mechanics Deus Ex fans are looking for however Breach Mode has something that makes the player bring themselves into a more Arcade version of the game. The Breach mode is basically a virtual world where you are in a NSN or Neural Subnet in full where the players need to capture all the Data Towers, data fragments and eliminate all the enemies in this virtual world.

The challenges and enemies you face as well as the game mechanics are similar to the main story in Mankind Divided, so if you plan on playing Breach Mode  first just note some of the gameplay will be of the main story. Once you have completed your objective a timer will appear and you will have to make your way back to the entrance point before it runs out.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. A new update was released for DirectX12 compatibility.
